Gold Investment

My stepmom will be flying home early next year for a short vacation.  As early as now, I’m wondering what stuff can I wish her to bring home for me there in KSA..if she’d just buy gold jewelries or signature bags or apparels that are a lot cheaper there than when purchased in local stores here.  On another thought, I’m thinking to just have it in cash so that I can look at the gold trading market and perhaps, invest it in gold, silver or other precious metals.  I’ve read in the United States Gold Bureau, one of the top American precious metal dealers, that it’s best to buy gold now because of its promising and stable value.
