The Lesson

I never learned my lesson. About effectively handling time, that is.

I procrastinate..always. And so it's not an uncommon sight to see me cramming come crunch time.

It's a good thing that there's the Holiday season that I can "blame" for this slacking attitude for now...to which I can comfortably and easily attribute my laziness to. But seriously, I know that this has to stop especially that another year is about to begin. So as my first attempt for this resolution, I'll really start reviewing the discount term life insurance proposals forwarded to me a few weeks back. I just wish that I can sustain enough this drive and energy before the crazy lazy bug bites me again.

It's just 3 days before Christmas. So for those of you who thinks you have the charm that your parents can not resist, go ahead and start choosing from the wide array of your dream automobile at TheCarConnection.com.

Our Fourth.

Hubby and I celebrated our 4th year wedding anniversary last Thursday. I am yet to blog our simple celebration. Nope we didn't celebrate it with a Cancun All Inclusive although I wish we could. Our savings are allocated for our little mansion project so luxuries like travel plans are really taking the backseat for the mean time. Hopefully, when we get settled by mid next year and we can breathe a little easier, we can then start saving up for an international getaway. We have always been dreaming and wanting to experience Karisma Hotels in Riviera Maya for the longest time. Aside from the marvelous beaches, relaxing and pampering hotel indulgence, their one of a kind gourmet-inclusive concept is to die for.

Christmas Family Traditions.

I think everyone has his own share of stories about Christmas traditions that they have grown up with. Three of the things that I always looked forward to as a child come Christmas time are hanging of stockings on the eve of Christmas, exchange gifts and our sumptuous Noche Buena that the whole family feast on after attending the Misa de Gallo (Christmas Mass). Now that I have a family of my own, I wish to continue these traditions and will also have my son grow up happily and excitedly look forward to Christmas because of these.

How about you, what are your favorite Christmas family traditions?

Online Procurement

When I was still working for an American call center a couple of years ago, among my tasks were to source, canvass and procure stuffs that the Operations Group requires. I remember ordering stuffs that served as their prizes and incentives: gadgets, appliances, hotel accommodation, tokens, giveaways and a lot more. The procurement manner was kinda old-fashioned then but before I resigned there were already plans to shift to some kind of more advanced procurement way. That is to give online purchasing a try. I think that's the system they're currently taking advantage of now. My former colleague says its a whole lot easier and faster because its paperless and all it takes is just a click of the mouse. For example, they have already tried dealing with Jazz Medical, an online medical supplies retailer, they were able to procure some clinical supplies without much hassle. They also got a good deal because the prices are relatively cheaper compared to their previous supplier.

Thank You Skinny Body

Countdown check..17 days to go before Christmas.

Have you planned your Noche Buena meals and stocked the best diet pills yet? We'll it's expected that a lot will really forego for the mean time their diet plans and regimens with all the bountiful feasting to take place this Holiday season. As early as now, my mind and my taste buds are already conditioned to taste and savor my favorite holiday feasts: carbonara, roasted chicken, salads, and a whole lot more. I don't mean to brag or to get you envious but that's what I thank my metabolism for. I can eat a lot without having to worry about the extra pounds of weight to gain because I've always been skinny.

No International Travel Plans

While most of my friends are so excited about their travel plans this Holiday, here I am having a hard time budgeting our year end savings and closely limiting the expenses we'll be incurring in the remaining days of the month. I surely do want to travel abroad, or go to Bohol, Palawan or Boracay; or try out the Outer Banks vacation homes but we're dead set on prioritizing our housing goal so travel plans will have to wait until the next couple of years I suppose. We'll be having a much cheaper Baguio getaway anyway after Christmas so that will do for now. What matters most is we'll all be together and make the most out of our trip.

Anniversary Gift

The 17th of this month marks our 4th year wedding anniversary. Wow! I'm taken aback that it has been four years already since we said "I Do". Well, I'll be blogging more about these thoughts on the anniversary day itself but for now, I'll spend the next hour browsing and contemplating about my gift for him. We agreed that we won't splurge too much on our Holiday and Anniversary gifts like we did last year because of the impending little mansion project. So it's definite that there will be no Personalized Jewelry nor expensive gadgets for this year. He has mentioned in passing the other day that his fave perfume is running out so more probably, that's what I'll look for in a while.

Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses

Browsing various fashion and entertainment blogs, I noticed that the Ray Ban Aviator Sunglasses are the most worn style among many stars here and abroad. Also known as Pilot shades (style derived from the oblique teardrop shape of the army's smoked-lens flying goggles), it's the most copied fashion style in history. It became even more popular when famous icons like Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise began wearing them.

If you don't have any idea where to score great Ray Ban Aviator deals, hop on over to Zephyr Sunglasses and browse their wide array of styles. They are authorized dealers and offer appropriate warranties so their products are truly not just knockoffs.

Brrrr...Cold.

Chapped lips, sniffles and cough.

The very proofs that indeed, the cold season has started to set in. Except for the sickness, I love the weather actually. I don't miss yet the hot and humid temperature and even though I am longing to have one of those alluring Myrtle beach golf packages, I very much welcome this weather change especially in a tropical country like ours where most of the time of the year has been really very hot. But above this weather, the reason why I'm welcoming this with open arms because it only means Christmas is just around the corner, too. Excited...I'm more than excited actually.

HK Trips

Earlier today, the discussion at Twitter was all about a few friends' trip to Hong Kong come January. I can't help but get envious because I've always wanted to go back and experience HK with the husband and little A this time. However, we cannot even though there have been airfare sales recently because we have some other priorities. We can always save anyway for these trips in the years to come when the little one's older enough to enjoy and who knows it'll not only be HK hotels that we'll book but new orleans hotel rooms. Now that's way cooler and more exciting because stepping in any state of the US is also a lifelong dream.
