Destination Weddings.

Hubby and I will be celebrating our fourth year anniversary on December. We're tightening our belts this year as we save on a much bigger project we've taken on. Celebration need not be extravagant anyway so I guess, we'll just hold it simple yet sweet. We've promised before or should I say, the husband promised that we'll have a renewal of vows when we hit the big 10, perhaps, equally as grand as our wedding. So we still have six years to plan (and save) for that. Who knows we could save much enough for a destination wedding, say in Tagaytay, Boracay or even in one of the Karisma hotels in Riviera Maya. I've observed that destination weddings are the latest trends nowadays. I saw the pictures of a friend who just got recently wed in a similar setting as the Azul Beach and it's just so romantic. The bride's white beach gown complemented the cool blue waters of the beach and the whole picturesque is just so enchanting. You better check out the Karisma Hotels' site and see the wedding gallery for yourself and understand what I'm yakking about.

Harry Potter Inspired Baby Names.

Nowadays, baby names are getting more unique hmm okay..I must add, *most of the time* getting unusual especially with all these hypes about the online world, celebrities, book characters and movies. I have a friend whose niece was named after one of the most powerful search engine. Then another friend whose son's name was inspired by J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter. If he'll have a sibling soon, I bet they'll pick one or two from these list:

Boys:
Albus
Cedric - English, Battle chief
Draco - English, Form of Drake
Dudley - English, Common field
Neville - French, New town
Severus - Latin, Severe

Girls:
Bellatrix - Latin, Female warrior
Fleur - French, Flower
Hermione - Greek, Earthy
Petunia - English, Flower
Sibyll

I won't be surprised if I hear soon Edward, Bela, Aro, Marcus, Jane, Caius etc for babies of Twilight fanatic parents.

The Best Proposal Ever Contest.

Released last month in the US, this hilarious romantic comedy movie is about a pushy workaholic boss, Margaret Tate(Sandra Bullock) who forces her hunky young executive assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada.

I got this from Weddingsatwork site and for soon to wed couples out there, you might want to join the contest spearheaded by Globe Telecom and win for yourself a gift certificate for a prenup pictorial with Chito Cleofas and many other prizes (ring keychain, ring keychain in a box, wallet, etc).

All you have to do is Ssend the BEST. PROPOSAL. EVER. Check here for the other details of this contest.

Stock Investment.

I have always thought of trying out stock invesment. I had Business Investment subjects during my college years to back me up but unfortunately, I ended up taking a different career path (although still in line with Commerce) when I started to work. I totally forgot my notes on the said subject thus, I'm lacking the confidence now to venture on this investment. But recently, I chanced upon PowerOptions and my yearning to try this out started to shape up. They have easy to understand educational materials and tools online that can help one make stock options investment to their utmost advantage. Their tool helps in finding, analyzing options, and making profits on stock option trading. They even have various helpful tips like the iron condor strategy on their site which I find very informative. I might avail their 14-day free trial anytime to jumpstart my stock investment career. Wish me luck.

Ironies.

I need to work on some writing tasks but I can't think.
I want to transfer pictures from the camera to my EHD but I'm so sluggish to get up and get the USB cable.
I want to take a nap but time is precious and I have a number of pending tasks to do.
I still hunger but I don't have anything here that will please my taste buds.

The Masteral Dream.

Browsing my long time friends' Facebook profiles make me envious. I've seen that many of them are now masteral degree holders and a few even taking doctorate degrees now. I envy them for their hard work, patience and of course the means for pursuing their post graduate degrees. One of my long term goals, too, is obtain a masteral degree. That's why I have bookmarked the site of Capella University so I can earn my degree online when the right timing comes. I've read so many positive feedback and raves about this online school that this makes one of my dream post graduate school. They have a regular podcasts of interviews with Capella students, instructors and the current one features Beverly Enns, Capella’s faculty chair for reading/literacy. She tackles about Capella as the only online university offering a master’s degree program with a state-approved specialization in reading and literacy. You should check it out and see what I mean.

Baby Shower Planning.

You know what's keeping me occupied lately? Aside from playing FB games and doing my blogging works? I'm cooking up a surprise baby shower for a friend who's giving birth in 3 weeks time. Kinda exciting because it's my first time to organize but I'm not really nervous since I'm a Mom and I know exactly what to expect and do in such. I'm the first one to become one in the group so I'm in a good position to do it. Perhaps, I can even share info and tips about labor, giving birth and motherhood itself. I'm no of an expert but my experience as a first time mom and little knowledge on it can be a great resource.

Barn Buddy.

First, there was Pet Society. I spent countless of hours feedings, bathing, grooming and decorating the house of my pet, Misha.

Then, there was Restaurant City. Yet again, I spent hours setting up my resto, cooking and leveling up my ingredients.

Third, there came Typing Maniac. I can no longer beat my own record of 401,000 points and my internet sucks so my screen just freezes when I'm toiling the higher levels.

Fourth, there's Waka-waka. It's a competition between me and my brother-in-law. Fortunately, my record is still unbroken and remains on top as of the moment.

Then there's Sushi No Suki. Reminds me of my Diner Dash obsession where you manage your Japanese resto, prepare the ingredients and serve the sushis to your impatient customers.

Then my sister and brother in law lured me yesterday to try Barn Buddy. And yes, that's what keeping me busy again while I work on my tasks.

Pacman.

Is there anyone who doesn't know Pacman, in my generation, at least? If you still haven't discovered, do you know that you can relive the pacman mania in Facebook? Search for the Waka-waka application and you can play this old time favorite game. Of course, it still as voracious ever eating all those tiny dots to complete the round, the bonus fruits and the wandering ghosts when the magic pill is taken. I wonder if pac man (or waka waka) is taking in those weight loss supplements that's why it's not getting fat. Yeah, there goes my imagination again. I wonder also why they named it Waka-waka this time.

All About Airsoft Gas Guns.

As you might have noticed, I've been blogging a lot about airsoft lately. Blame it on a sports show that I watched last week. It got me really interested to it that I've been collecting Airsoft info these days. If I may add, my research about this game has influenced a friend of mine , too. He's asking now if I have an articles about airsoft gas guns because he's planning to buy one that he can use for his first combat play next week. Here's what I've found:

Airsoft Green Gas for Airsoft Gas Guns

Airsoft Gas GunWhen you look at the most popular options on the market, airsoft gas guns are some of the biggest sellers. And that makes good sense because the guns have plenty of benefits, including being affordable and fairly powerful. As you might imagine, they also need to have their gas containers replaced after you expend a specific number of shots. Most use a gas known as HFC134a, but you could sometimes opt for airsoft green gas instead.

Details of the UHC Green Gas

The best explanation is that the green gas airsoft gun is more powerful than the more traditional type of gas that is used. Usually, the gas is made from propane with silicone included and this combination can provide a boost to many of the guns on the market. Of course, you'll have to pay a little extra for that boost but the cost may be worth the results. One point that is important to remember is that this type of gas is not more environmentally friendly than the other options. Some consumers make that mistake because of the "green" in its name.

Advantages of the Airsoft Gas Guns

HFC22, as this green type of gas is sometimes called, will give you more excitement for your investment. The biggest advantage, of course, is that this extra power is going to be a great asset to you on the Airsoft field.

Of course, you'll have some other advantages as well. One of the weaknesses of the gas gun models in general is that they can't perform as well in very cold conditions. That's because the traditional gas used in most of the models just can't stand up to that type of weather. As a result, you could be in the middle of a match or of target practice then have your gas pistol just stop working as it should. That's not going to be a problem if you're using the HFC22. However, you do have to be worried about the opposite problem: the green variety of gas can't withstand high temperatures. In some climates, therefore, you might need to use both types and switch between seasons.

Air soft Guns Green Gas Issues

Of course, you don't want to start purchasing airsoft green gas until you know a few other facts. First, you can't use this product with every type of airsoft gas gun on the market. The Japanese models, in particular, just were not designed for this stronger gas. You really need to stick with the HFC134a variety with them. Otherwise, you could do some major damage to the equipment. The best way to find out if it's safe or not is to read your instruction manual or to ask a knowledgeable customer service representative.

Now there are some airsoft firearms on the market that were actually created for use with green gas airsoft gun. If you really want to use this product, those are going to be a good choice, although they usually do cost more than your average airsoft gas guns. Remember that they can still be damaged if you use them and this type of gas in very hot conditions. You may still need to switch back and forth between the two types to meet the needs of your climate.

DIY Wedding Cake Toppers and Favors.

When we got wed four years ago, I'm proud to say that we were more than hands on with our preparations. Aside from the grueling task of booking and coordinating with all the suppliers, we've added extra touch of love to our wedding by DIY-ing (Do-It-Yourself) most of the wedding stuffs that we could. We drafted and finalized our invites, the souvenirs, photo mosaic, missalette, guest sheets and a lot more. The best thing about this was we were able to save a large chunk off the expenses and we've just allotted them on our initial joint savings.

Anyway, for those of you who are in their midst of their wedding preparations and would love to add a touch of your own labor to your wedding stuffs, check these tutorial on how to create cake toppers and favors. Take note that you can also use this as special tokens and giveaways to any other small parties.

All About Accessories.

Playing airsoft isn't just limited to guns, rifles and pistols. Like any other game or sport, it also has a number of accessories used to enhance and make the game more enjoyable and a number, for safety purposes.

Airsoft Accessories for Airsoft Guns, Rifles and Pistols

Accessories Airsoft GunIf you want to make the most of your Airsoft guns, you're going to need to acquire some useful Airsoft Accessories. Most of these additional supplies will either help you have more fun or will ensure your safety. Both are, of course, important whether you're a beginner user or a more experienced user. Below are some of the top soft air accessories you might want to consider adding to your arsenal.

Airsoft Goggles and Masks

One of the most important soft air accessories you can purchase is face and eye protection. Even though these guns are not anywhere near as dangerous as real pistols and rifles, the "ammo" is going to be shot out of the gun at a tremendous rate of speed. If you in the trajectory of that ammo, you could get seriously injured. If a BB hits you in the eye, for example, you could be blinded thanks to the full force of that air pushing it out of the barrel. By always wearing these airsoft guns accessories you can protect yourself from pain and serious injury.

Extra Air Soft Ammunition

What is one of the worst things that could happen to you while you're having a great time shooting off your BB guns? What if you're in the middle of a game with your Airsoft Rifle Accessories pointed out a competitor ready to fire the winning shot and you realize you're out of ammunition? That would definitely make you less than thrilled but would also give your competitors a great story to tell. And since you don't want to be the guy in that story you should always come prepared with extra ammo. The best idea is to keep your gun loaded and bring along a healthy supply of extra bbs, too. You may not need them today but you might tomorrow.

Pop Up Targets for Your Airsoft Guns Practice

One of the best parts of having your own Airsoft gun is that you can use it to improve your aim. However, that's going to require having something to shoot at. One of the most useful of the Airsoft accessories, therefore, is going to be pop up targets. You have the flexibility to set these at any distance you desire so you can keep improving your aim over time. They are convenient choices because you can place them anywhere you want which is good if you want to work on your aim. Plus you can move the targets back further as you keep improving your shooting ability.

Durable Air Soft Guns Carrying Case

Another good idea for Airsoft accessories is a carrying case. This makes it convenient for you to take your equipment, including targets and extra ammunition with you. That means if you want to visit your friends and do a little fun shooting you can easily have everything you need with you and don't have to worry about losing or forgetting anything that is important. The carrying case is also a great way to take your charger along with you.

Do You Care?

Of course I do and everyone should. We are all part of the society and we are always affected by issues, actions and decisions that everyone makes.

Summertime Fun.

It's summer in the other part of the world and I bet families are out and bound to the coolest vacation destinations..where else, the beaches! And if you're looking for a property rental where your group or family can enjoy an exciting getaway, Outer Banks rentals are the places to stay in. They have properties that are oceanfront meaning they have rooms that have breathtaking views of the ocean. I am sure you want to enjoy the waves at night or watch the dolphins while you have your morning coffee on the deck. Or simply enjoy a quite fine afternoon in the sands or the cool splashes of the beach waves. Is there other better way to enjoy the summer heat?

Secure Your Family.

I've just read my friend's blog and I'm kind of affected with a tragedy she blogged about. She witnessed recently a major road accident that claimed two lives. She was shocked and was even left speechless and unmoving right after it happened. It was so sudden and fast and she was even unsure how did it all exactly happen. The next scene she saw, there were already two bloodied seemingly lifeless bodies on the road. It was later confirmed that these two died on the spot because of the hard collision. I bet the grief that their families are going through right now are beyond imaginable. I hope that their families are covered financially and their future secured. This is exactly the reason why life insurance is important. So before anything else happens, better if you request an insurance quote now. It won't hurt to do these steps. After all, this is for your family's security. The first step, you may ask, is check 2insure4less.com. They got one of the best insurance package deals on the web.

Binge (?)

Sometimes, I really am avoiding to open my flickr account. Why? Because I'm preventing myself from drooling over signatured stuffs that my online friend, Glo, is selling at such reasonable prices. Like this morning, I didn't have plans of logging in but I got curious with the raves that my twittermates buzzed about new stuffs she got...Technomarine watches, tote bags and Oakley shades. A few of my friends have already made their orders and there goes Glo's virtual receipt printer running again. She has already made a career in this online business selling venture.

Oakley hades...my husband's ultimate wish. I am actually tempted to order one for him but then he might not appreciate it because he's really dead serious that we save for a bigger project we've been dreaming. I could binge this time but with an Oakley price, I am not sure if "binge" is an appropriate word.

Airsoft Plans.

I remember that dear hubby used to be fascinated with playing Counterstrike on the PC. It's what they call a MMORPG game that involves a tactical war between a terrorist and counter terrorist groups. It is from there that he got accustomed with different tactical equipments. He's wanting to put his shooting skills in real life that's why he's considering airsoft to try. I researched about it and this is what I got from Sarah Porter:

Best Airsoft Pistols and Pistol Air Soft

Airsoft Pistols SpringEntering the airsoft gun hobby can be rewarding but is not always easy because of the variety of options you can choose from. Not only do you have to worry about choosing airsoft rifles that are well manufactured but you also need to consider which specific types of guns you want to work with. Maybe you already know whether you want airsoft pistols or machine guns but learning a bit more about your choices will ensure that you choose the best airsoft guns for your needs and your experience level.

Airsoft Pistol, Shotguns & Handguns

With airsoftguns, you'll also find some other options. Handguns, such as airsoft pistols, are frequently purchased by beginners because they are a good choice for learning how to properly and accurately handle and fire one of these weapons. They can also be good sidearm weapons meaning they can serve as a backup if you're playing a match and run out of ammunition. Most of the shot guns are not going to be used in matches but there are some that are capable of firing off multiple rounds quickly but overall these would be better choices for target practice. Most airsoft enthusiasts would suggest pistols over both shotguns and revolvers that rarely perform as well.

Air Soft Rifle Options

Two types of rifles are commonly available in the airsoft arena. Assault rifles are one choice. These are one of the most popular types of guns in the airsoft family, possibly because people love the idea of shooting off an M-16. These weapons are capable of doing auto fire that makes it an ideal choice for a few airsoft matches. Another option is a sniper rifle. These can be great choices if you're already part of a team and that team wants a competitive advantage. Not everyone enjoys using a sniper rifle but it can make a great secondary choice.

Air soft Pistol, Carbines and SMGs

The carbine is an interest choice because it's basically just a smaller version of standard airsoft rifles, except that it uses the same ammunition as a submachine gun (SMG). Among airsoft players, the SMGs seem to have some advantages. They may not pack the biggest payload or the most power but they can be great choices because they are easy to handle and don't hamper your movements the way larger automatic weapons, such as the machine gun, might.

Deciding on the Right Weapon

Despite all of the pros and cons, the only person who can really determine the best airsoft guns is you. And that decision should be based on many factors, including your experience level and your intended purpose with the weapon. In some cases, the type of weapon may not matter as much as whether or not you're choosing an automatic or semi-automatic variety. At the end of the day, you have to make the decision about the best airsoft guns for your needs and that requires some research and careful consideration. After all, you don't want to go home with airsoft pistols only to find out you'd have been better off with an M-16.

Sickies.

As I write this post, my twittermates are discussing about the asthma invasion in their homes. If not themselves, their kids are suffering the attacks lately. One twitter friend even said that she has gotten used to having asthma that she can now medicate herself on her own. She just knows it when it is about to attack so she's as ready as ever with her medications. My son last year was once, too, diagnosed to have bronchial asthma. He was hospitalized for a few days and it was one traumatic experience not only for him but for us as well. Good thing that hubby's HMO covered the whole bill or else, the expenses would have created a big hole in our pockets. This is the very good reason why there's a need for a health insurance. For those in North Carolina, I heard about bcbsnc that it has the best deals on individual and group health packages. You'll never know when sickness strikes, so better arm yourselves with the best armor...a health insurance.

Working On A Weekend.

Yes, it's saturday. The husband's facebook status reads: "Happy Saturday..time to relax!" Of course, he deserves it after a week long of rendering overtime works everyday. How I wish I can post the same on my Facebook. But I am beating some deadlines that's why I'm up early at 7 am and my laptop is the first thing I turned on. Working on a weekend...boo!

Tired But Thankful.

I often yak about how busy and tired I am with my works and duties recently. You see being a Work-at-home Mom (if that's how I can classify my status now) is even tougher as it sounds..in fact, one quote even says that a "working mom" is redundant. You endure the stress - motherhood and work - both at the same time. While you're in the midst of finishing a deadline-nearing online work, here comes a wailing toddler by your side wanting something that he's prohibited to have. No wonder most moms put the best wrinkle cream among their Christmas wish list because they age fast brought about by stress. On another note, it's actually more about stress management. It may be tough to determine but there are ways on how to turn your stress source into something to be happy about. It's all about perspectives, actually.

It's Too Late.

Isn't it frustrating when a wonderful gift is almost a grab away and yet you just let it flew by all because of impatience on your part or you blinked your eyes unusually a little too long?

That's what I'm feeling right now. Well, nothing biggie issue.

I just missed a digiscrapping goodie by one of my favorite designers. I am subscribed to her newsletter via email and received an update from her last night. I peeked but didn't browse all through the end. When I opened my Google Reader now (I am also subscribed to her feeds), at the far end of the newsletter is a free coupon code for the first 5 who'll use it on her newest kit. Of course, I'm too late to try it now. Sayang!

Wanting A Caribbean Cruise.

I've just seen my friend's Caribbean Cruise pictures and I'm so envious! She and her bestfriend have lots of pictures on the deck of Carnival Glory. Then they have pictures all over the enticing places of Gofe Caye in Belize, Nassau in Bahamas, Costa Maya, the shoreline of Cozumel, Mexico - fabulous! Makes me want to go browse the Caribbean cruises packages and book a tour for ourselves. I'd love to try the "yummy drinks" she's describing for the booze they were offered on the ship and the pristine white sand of every beaches they visited in the Carribean. They have even pictures in Carnival Glory's Atrium during the Mardi Gras night, on the deck of the ship and even on the tail end. They reminded me of the movie Titanic! The cruise staff even sang to them adios on their final night. It really looks like an amazing adventure and one of a kind experience. But that's just a tip of the iceberg because there are more cruise adventures that Carnival.com offers. I bet the husband will love to have such...how I wish, we can try this someday.

Tips In Choosing the Right Engagement Ring.

For most guys, proposing for marriage happens just once. Luck is on their side. Since proposing is a one-shot-or-nothing act, guys must carefully plan for this important moment. Here are some tips and advice for the guys in choosing for the right engagement ring for your girl.

1. Observe your girl's metal color preference. Does she prefer white gold, platinum or yellow gold?

2. Know the style of jewelry she wears now. Does she like contemporary, classic, vintage, etc?

3. Recall if she has hinted her preference. Have she mentioned what she wishes for an engagement ring? Did she like her friend's engagement ring? Or better yet, take her to a jewelry store and pretend you're looking for a watch and through it, you may get some subtle hints of her preferences.

4. See what looks best on her hands. An elongated diamond can make short fingers look more sleek. Wide bands usually make fingers appear shorter.

5. Know her ring size. You may discreetly try on your fingers or on your friend the rings she wear now.

6. Wisest idea, browse HolstedJewelers.com. Their designs are all appealing that your bride to be will definitely fall over heels in love with. Holsted Jewelers has provided exclusively designed fashion jewelry, gifts and accessories to millions of satisfied customers.

So there, hope these tips will help you get that big "yes" you've been yearning all this time.

Pads and Hub Combo.

Quite An Ordeal.

I first heard about catheters from my grandfather's kidney ailment when I was a kid. Just hearing my grandpa's sufferings made me conclude that having a catheter is quite an ordeal. Actually just the thought of inserting it to your body part makes me cringe already. I'm amazed of how he was able to endure it for decades before he died in 1999. During that time, I remember that my grandma would hoard lots of catheters because they needed to be replaced after a certain time. Internet hasn't flourished that time but I think it would have been easier on their part if they could have just ordered from Allegro Medical, one of the largest and most technologically advanced independently owned online retailers of life enhancing products. Instead of running to the drugstore, my grandma could have just then spent the time taking care of my ailing grandfather instead.

Edward's Fangs.

If you were also "bitten" by the Twilight Mania a few months ago, then you would find these necklaces fantastic. It makes a great Edward insignia...just the perfect accessory to make you imagine that you're actually been bitten by the Cullens. These fang necklaces, in silver, gold and black are available at kabiri.co.uk. Which color do you fancy?

Toilet Paper Wedding Gown.

It's every girl's dream to walk down the aisle in a white lovely gown such as this.

Inspired by the movie Gone With The Wind, this wedding gown is not just an ordinary one that a bride would actually wear on her big day. Why? Because, this is made of toilet paper, glue and tape. This is Ann Kagawa Lee's entry to the Cheap Chic Weddings' Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest which actually bagged the top prize of $1,000 and a listing at Ripley's Believe It or Not.

A Gift For The Princess.

I chatted again with my abroad-based sister the other day and I'm overjoyed again seeing my new niece, Leela. Thank God for the internet and webcam, I get to see and catch up with them. I'm longing to hold my niece however it will take some time before they can come home for vacation here. One, my sister and her husband just took a vacation last January. I think their employers require a certain number of months before they can their next long vacation leaves again. Besides, Leela is still too little to travel. No christening date yet but as early as now I can't help but get excited to buy baby gifts for her. I recently discovered Babynest.com and I found the perfect present to surprise our little princess. Babynest.com is a one stop shop for everything baby-related gift items. They offer a wide array of personalized baby and nursery essentials and even unique favors for a stylish baby shower.

Boom Boom Pow!

Boom boom boom, gotta get-get
Boom boom boom, gotta get-get

Boom boom boom, now
Boom boom boom, now
Boom boom pow

This is what's blaring loud on my laptop speakers right now. In fact, I can't help but do some body moves and strut a little to the beat of this song while blogging. My son's beside me right now and he's also giving me some baby dance. It gives me the groove and mood to be in high spirits now. If only, the husband has purchased the stereo cabinet we saw last weekend, then we could have put the whole house on the beat with the stereo in full volume. The old cabinet broke loose last week that we have to keep the stereo in its box for the mean time.

Meanwhile, let me go Boom boom boom pow-ing first.

Single Ladies Surprise!

What I love about attending weddings is witnessing the recent ins and trends with the reception activities nowadays, aside from celebrating the couple's union and love of course. Last December, we attended a friend's wedding and we were so entertained with their one of a kind couple's entrance. They strutted their way to the stage dancing with an all choreographed cheerful dance. A dance that hubby and I wouldn't do even if it was the in thing during the time when we got married. Well, we both can dance (hubby's a dancer when we were in HS) but what I don't have is the guts. LOL.

Speaking of guts, this groom definitely mustered all his guts with this one of a kind surprise music video number for his wife on their wedding day. The groom, clad in black spandex, did gay moves with his entire side of the entourage to the tune of Beyonce's Single Ladies. Watch and I bet you also wish to see his wife's reaction while seeing this video.

Chocolate Banana Parfait.

DSC_1982edited

We had this for dessert as we feasted our Father's Day lunch at Tokyo Cafe. I can't actually find the perfect word to describe how my taste buds went gaga over this. All I know is that I suddenly felt heaven when the sweet blend of the chocolate, cream and banana touched the tip of my tongue. I researched on the web the recipe for this one and this is the simplest I got from dole.com. Just a warning though, it's advisable to have your nuphedra handy at all times.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup boiling water
2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 DOLE® Bananas (1 extra-ripe, 1 firm)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup DOLE Fresh or Fresh Frozen Raspberries

Directions:
* Pour boiling water over chocolate chips in small bowl; stir until smooth.
* Combine extra-ripe banana, brown sugar, vanilla and melted chocolate, in blender or food processor container. Cover: blend until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
* Spoon half of mousse into 4 parfait or dessert glasses. Slice remaining firm banana over mousse in glasses. Spoon remaining mousse over bananas. Chill at least 30 minutes. Top with raspberries.
* Garnish with additional sliced banana if desired.

RIP, King of Pop.

Since my recent entry is about him, my mp3 player's sounds now are his all time hits and I can't get enough and I can't still believe that he's really gone, let this post be about Michael Jackson still.

Here are just some of my random thoughts:
1. Why is it that when a person dies, it's only then he gets well regarded about his achievements and about him in general? When he was still alive, controversies left and right were pounded on him and now that he's dead, tributes emphasizing his talent and his contribution to the music world are endlessly given.
2. The cause of his sudden death still remains a mystery especially with his cardiologist's account as well as random evidences that were retrieved from his home. Have they released the autopsy report results yet?
3. Whether his skin discoloration was caused by the treatment of his vitiligo and lupus, or whether he underwent several facial surgeries or whether his skin was just maintained by the best skin care products there is, I have no qualms about how he looks like really. He's got the talent - he's an icon...and for that, he'll always be the King of Pop for me.

Rest in Peace, King of Pop.

Celebrity Deaths.

The whole world was shocked when the breaking news featured Michael Jackson's death. It was for real but everyone could hardly believe about the King of Pop's demise. Well, it may not be the prime of his youth anymore but he's still too young at 50 to bid farewell to life.

Then the following days, sick-headed people blared on the web about other celebrities' accidental deaths. The victims included Natalie Portman, Ric Astley, Britney Spears, Ellen Degeneres and what the heck, even Miley Cyrus! Of course they just want to stir panic and make fun of people's reaction...which is totally unfunny! Obviously, these people don't have anything to do with their lives and they just wanted to get attention or attract traffic to their sites at the expense of these celebrities.

Happy Fourth! (Belated).

My apologies if my greetings came in late. So to my friends in the other side of the world, how was your celebration? Were you able to take lots of fireworks displays snapshots? Or were you like most of my friends who gluttoned in every get-together and picnics they attended? Barbecues, steaks, cakes...no wonder they're now scouring the web for the best diet pills to get rid of those unwanted fats they gained over the holiday. Well, people never learn..do we?

God Wants Me To Know...

What's on my FB wall?

Mai got a message that on this day, God wants her to know...
... that decision is only wishful thinking until you take that first irreversible step.

You can tell yourself that you have already decided, that nothing now can stop you, but if that step backwards is so much safer than step forwards, what will hold you true to your path when the going gets tough? Sometimes, the right thing to do is to take that first irreversible step, the one after which you cannot go back. And now, for you, is one of those times.

Cherish.

It's been a while since I last updated this blog. As you know, I've been busy authoring other blogs as they've been my bread and butter while I work from home. I've thought of deleting this free-hosted blog but the sentimental in me just can't because this has been my first ever home online and has been housing my random blurbs for four years now. I have thought also of getting this its own domain however, it's like christening a 40 year old man with a new name. It was known for this domain and it will remain until the day that it will take its final bow..that I couldn't tell when yet. Its glory days may be gone, reaching as high as PR4...even underwent tremendous web directory submissions and got tons of backlinks from other sites...but this will always remain a special one for me. Whenever I feel like reading about my wedding and pregnancy days, the archives never cease to bring smile to my face.
