Sharing the Good News Through Photo Birth Announcements

Photo Birth AnnouncementAren't all newborn babies adorable? More and more new parents nowadays are opting to have Photo Birth Announcements because they can't wait to show the whole world how cute their little angel is through her first photo. Nothing beats the excitement they feel. I just know because that's how I felt, too, when I gave birth to my son last year and uploaded photo birth announcements on the web.

Although, mostly turn to sharing birth announcement cards online these days with the advent of the internet and technology, a lot still prefers to do it the traditional way. That is sending baby birth announcements cards via airmail or "handmail". However they are sent, the warmth of receiving such good news is the same especially when you are handed lovely and elegant baby designs.

Birth-cards at http://www.birth-cards.com/ is a very nice resource to shop around for customized birth announcement cards. They create special layouts to suit the new parents' preference on the theme, color and design. Not only do they have a wide selection of themes to choose from and they provide a draft fast but they also tweak the layout according to your revision request such as on the wordings, font color and styles, etc. Through their Instant Preview engine, you can view your birth announcement card before finalizing your order that is just perfect to help you share the good news.

"We're Having a Boy!" Pregnancy Announcement Cards.

Pregnancy Announcement IdeasThis Pregnancy Announcement Card reminded me of the baby gender guessing game I held in this blog two years ago when we found out Baby A's gender at 18th week (I think) of pregnancy. I really had fun reading those guesses. Most of them have gotten it right, perhaps, I gave away easy clues and hints leading to the correct answer. Revealing the baby gender is as exciting as pregnancy announcements. Although, it doesn't matter really whether it'll be a baby girl or a baby boy because after all, what you hope and pray for is a healthy baby. However, pregnancy announcement cards such as this will help friends and family members to have an idea what to get for the baby shower. Should it be blue-themed or pink-themed?

If you've just confirmed that you're pregnant and want to make a surprise pregnancy announcement, check out the unique and creative announcement cards at Birth-Cards. They can even customize and create a special design just for you let's say you want to include a 3D ultrasound image of your baby. If you can't contain your excitement to share the good news, don't worry because http://www.birth-cards.com/ work on your layout fast. In fact, you can preview the initial draft within an hour during the business day. They also print and ship your cards the same day that you order them. They perfectly understand how fast you'd want to share the good news.

Belated Happy Holidays!

The holidays have passed without me doing a greeting shoutout here. Well, I know you would understand how busy it gets during the holidays..everyone's surely occupied so pardon with this late greeting. I hope you all had a blast as much as I did. This has been my busiest and happiest holiday ever for me. As to why, head to my main blog in the days to come for pictures and details.

Meanwhile since it's new year, husband and I are thinking of implementing changes and some remodelling in the house. We might start with the kitchen as the husband has long been wishing to have it tiled. Then replace some bathroom fixtures like the shower tub, faucets and vanities. Then after that, we'll see if there's still enough funds for the bedroom and living room remodelling.

Our Common Christmas Gift.

Gifts for nephews, nieces and godchildren - check
Gifts for close friends - check
Gifts for my siblings - check
Gifts for my in-laws - check
Gifts for Asher - check
Gift for the husband - hmmm...pending.

Before you think that I'm disregarding my husband, we have agreed that we will buy a DSLR for ourselves this Christmas. This is one of our common gadget whims for the longest time and so instead of giving each other separate gifts, we'll pool our savings and splurge on this. We're eyeing a Nikon D60 and the husband says we might include this in our itinerary tomorrow after his annual physical check up. I can't wait to get hold of our own Nikky soon. By the way, I don't know if it's a sort of premonition or something, look what I found from Chikai's blog...a buzz about Nikond90.org's free Nikon Strap. I think it's one of those promotional items for their Nikon D90 but this strap is okay for all Nikon models. Since there's no catch or anything and they ship worldwide, I signed up so that when Nikky is here, she has a ready strap.

The Changing Christmas Wish List.

Have you drafted your Christmas wish list yet? I have but it isn't still final as I find it changing almost everyday. Aside from it getting the list longer because I keep on adding items every time I see new stuffs online, the placing of the top wishes on the list also changes because their "I want" degrees vary. I can't settle with my ultimate wish yet. At one moment, I'm wanting a DSLR the most but after a thorough self-deliberation, I'm drooling over a new laptop then later, yearns for a new cellphone or a new Patek Philippe watch. I'm confused really because I simply want them all. I hope there's a way for Santa to give not just one but all of the items I'm wishing that are on my list. LOL.

Welcome 2008!

Happy New Year Everyone!

And I thought, I’ll be blogging on this first day of 2008 in my new “would be” main blog. But things aren’t all set yet with the DNS servers so it’ll take a few more days before I can finally start migrating in there. So how did your New Year celebration go? Mine was fantastic! It was bright (with all the fireworks), loud (with the deafening firecrackers) and of course, a tummy-filled celebration. I know I haven’t blogged yet how I celebrated my Christmas. Shame on me, I procrastinated towards the year end of 2007 lolz. I’ll try to go over them bit by bit before they slip away from my memory. Also, I think my digiscrapping mojos are finally back as I have several works on progress, mostly all about Christmas ’07 and Baby A projects. So as I finish them (hopefully not that long), I get to integrate the recent happenings as I post them on my blog.

First, the new year celebration. Since we celebrated Christmas in Makati with my lil bro at my parents’ house (minus the folks since Dad and Stepmom are abroad), we had our New Year at my In-Laws’ abode in QC. As mentioned, it was bright, loud and overindulging.

There were better and far nicer fireworks lighting the Frisco skies last night than these but I just couldn’t get the best angle and position. One, I was so conscious of the loud firecrackers and two, fearing that I might get hit by the falling remnants of these (like sticks, dust and other particles). Third, neighbors’ trees and hanging fiber optic cables or whatchamacallthem were blocking the best view I could have.

By the way, here are the 2008 calendars I just finished. Since I haven’t shopped any Christmas gifts for my colleagues, I’ll just have these printed and give to them prolly this week or early next week.

Here are the 2008 “Baby A” CD Case Calendars I did which hubby and I will be using/displaying at our workstations. I only made January and February since the remaining months will have to be all Baby A pics.

Just a preview of the blog entries that I owe you guys:

Lastly, here’s the recent LO I did. I know it’s a bit late for Christmas but as they say, better late than never. Lolz.

2nd Year Anniversary and a RAK!

Hubby and I are celebrating tomorrow our 2nd Year Anniversary. (I’m posting this now for a longer RAK time – see details below). I don’t know yet how are we going to celebrate it since they’re having their Christmas Party tom night. Anyhoo, since I can’t go out to buy him a special something, here’s a layout I painstakingly did for about four hours this afternoon! (Yay finally, was able to use the goodies I shopped these past few weeks). The message says it all…..so to my dear hubby: Happy Anniversary!!! Love you so much!

I’m also sending a shoutout to Andrea and Ramil…happy 2nd anniversary to both of you din!!!

Journalling:
On this same date two years ago, I vowed to be your constant best friend, your faithful partner, you eternal soul mate and fortress. I can still vividly remember that special moment when I gave you my word that I’ll love you forever and it is with you that I’ll share the rest of my life with. Now as we celebrate our second year anniversary and as we joyfully await the coming of our Baby A, I want to renew and reaffirm my vow..to be the best that I can be - as your wife and soon, Baby A’s mom. Nothing in this world could ever be as wonderful as the love you’ve given me. Surely we have our own share of ups and downs but it’s in those moments that we’ve proven how stronger we could become, how our love encompasses everything…and I thank for you that. Happy Anniversary and I love you so much!

My apologies if I don’t have any material thing to give you on this special day. I know, more than anything else, it’s this lil blessing inside my tummy that you’re most anxious to get hold of. Don’t worry Dad, our greatest and most-awaited gift will be unwrapped soon.

*****************************************************

So here’s another RAK I’m throwing to my blogging friends out there. Since hubby and I were so blessed this year, I’m giving away $10 worth of paypal credits to the lucky one who’ll post the sweetest anniversary message and wish for us. (Minimum of 60 words and the link should appear one time within the post…just joking! Paid blogging ba ang dating? Lolz) This will be open until I say it’s over. Good luck!

Party-filled Week.

This week was a party-filled one. One was last Tuesday for our department’s exclusive Christmas bash while the other one was the company-sponsored party for all of our Makati sites last Wednesday.

Our department’s party was supposedly held at Prince Plaza but due to schedule conflicts, the managers decided to have it instead in our colleague’s place here in Makati. It was actually fun although I didn’t participate much in the contests. There were lots of foods (catered by Food Creatives)..i love the Cebu lechon; videoke galore; parlor games and the most-awaited dancing contest. There were 4 groups who competed and strutted their own Papaya Dance versions. Since there are 3 of us in the department who are pregnant and didn’t join, we served as the judges and it was actually tough. They all have their own styles, unique costumes and different interpretations. The first group (who eventually emerged first placers) was the most impressive of all. I like their funky, colorful, flashy and prismatic style where they used little, different-colored flashlights strapped on their fingers and eyewears. Their blings-blings also spiced up their costumes. I heard they even intended to use more props such as solar lights but it just didn’t work when they were about to perform. The other groups adapted various themes such as Filipiniana-Political, Ang TV-Santa Reindeers and 70’s themes. The party was a blast. We ended it up early since we still have work (and another Christmas party) the next day.

The company-sponsored party was held at the PICC Forum. Well, I dunno but it was actually pretty boring. We just availed the free food (catered by Via Mare), tried our luck in winning raffle prizes and just grooved to the disco music afterwards. Out of boredom and since I got sleepy, I didn’t finish the party and went home ahead of everybody although I noticed that several were also leaving the venue early.

I have pics to share but I haven’t uploaded them at the moment. Will post them here soon.

Weekend Plans.

I’m just glad that it’s Friday already. I’ve been through a lot this week (glad the issue at home has been settled) and I’m really looking forward for a nice and grand break, especially that Monday will be a National Holiday! Yahoo!

Well, I’ll be MIA for a while this weekend because hubby and I will be having our last “Swimming Hirit” with our HS barkada. We’re off for an overnight gimik at a new resort in Bulacan. Of course, I’ll be back with the adventure stories and pics from my new S3 IS toy.

Yummy Birthday Week.

I feel like I celebrated my birthday all week long (with an overly stuffed & definitely satisfied stomach).

Sunday (March 11) - My celebration commenced with a merienda treat at my in-laws' house in QC.  We had pansit malabon, a yummy specialty of Pansit ng Taga-Malabon (near Crossings Department Store), and sweetened our tooth with my fave Red Ribbon Cake, Chocolate Mousse.

Monday (March 12) - For lunch, my boss treated the whole group with a sumptuous Gerry's Grill feast. My birthday also coincided with our monthly Department General Assembly that's why after the formal business talks and discussion, I was surprised to see on the projector the powerpoint greeting they made for me as they began singing and brought out the Theobroma Chocolate Cake which I'm pretty sure was bought in our pantry, lolz.

With all honesty, I'm thankful but was not that ecstatic.  There are some challenges with my job that I'm currently faced with and hurdling right now.  Hurt and confused.  Kaya siguro, that's how I felt that time in the office.

At any rate, I tried psyching and consoled myself. After all it was my birthday and had to shrug off all those crabby thoughts. We had Chowking lauriat for merienda..pansit, lumpia, siomai, chicharap, buchi & rice. Well, at one point, it's indeed nice that our general assembly coincided with my birthday so it appeared like our merienda feast was my birthday treat. Lolz.

Our general assembly ended up a little bit late that's why Paul and I had our dinner later than we've planned. Being the celebrant, of course, I got to pick what I wanted for the night. We had Oil & Garlic Special pasta plus 4 large slices of New England's Best Pizza from Aveneto. After which, I splurged on my current fave whenever we set foot at Glorietta...our must-destination..Timezone! I strut my stuff and beat Paul 4 of 6 linked basketball games, got engrossed with Pairs Strategy Game, action-packed Time Crisis and tried out Daytona Racing (I was such a bummer on the race track!).

We went home at about 9:30 pm and pigged out with a yummy Seafood Carbonara cooked by my sister and his boyfriend.

Tuesday (March 13) - My best buds and I stormed Glorietta again for lunch...this time, it was on me. What did we have? Ang walang kamatayang Oil & Garlic Special Pasta and a Platter Meal (spicy chiken wings, fries, onion rings and "crabsticks"- or
whatever they call it) from Aveneto. Isn't it obvious that I'm really into this pasta lately? Lolz.

Thursday (March 15)- We had another big lunch blowout in the office courtesy of a newly-promoted officemate...pansit malabon, barbecue, chicken lollipop, pichi-pichi, lumpia..everything from Ambers. Again, kunwari handa ko. Hehe.

Friday (March 16) - After work, my colleagues culminated my birthday week with a pampering treat. We had foot spa and pedicure at Sense and Spa in Burgundy Plaza, devoured crabs and shrimps at Seaside Market in Macapagal, sipped some Frozen
Margarita, bonded and made tambay until the wee hours of the morning at Pier One in The Fort.

Whew! What a birthday week! Can't wait on my next.. hehe!
