Honestly, my Happy list could go on as I'm easily pleased even with just a simple thing. Along side with all those little blessings that we receive in life, may we remember each day to say a prayer of thanks to Him, the One who one's so gracious and generous on us all. And as for the sad list, we should remember that life wouldn't be as exciting as it should be without these little misfortunes. After all, happiness is much felt after going through a tough time. 1. Everyone at home woke up early - blame it on the busted electricity at 4 am.
2. We had a mini photo shoot of Asher wearing his Baby Tigger costume - thanks for the natural lighting in the garden/garage. The pics turned out good!
3. Submitted the said photos to baby magazine in response to a publication call. Hope it'll get included in the Nov-Dec issue.
4. We were supposed to visit the grave of my hubby's Lola. But the van's machine conked out and overheated so we have to postpone the visit.
5. Didn't accomplish much online tasks yesterday.
6. Canvassed online for golf clubs for a friend who's celebrating his birthday soon.

Today {8.10.08}
1. Woke up to a sunny but lazy day. I'm still so sleepy.
2. The van's being checked. Hope it'll get fixed soon.
3. Still unsure if we'll proceed with the cemetery visit today. It all depends on the van.
4. Lots of tasks to finish.
5. The little one's addicted and loves playing so much the Teach and Touch Blanket that was gifted to him.
6. I'm hungry. I wonder what's for lunch.

3. What kind of books do you tend to read? Sci-fi, Romance, Mystery...etc...?
Romance and Baby Books.

6. What was the last book you read? What are you reading now? I haven't read a paperback in a while since I'm quite busy attending to my baby's needs. The last story book is Peter Pan which I read to my son last night. My current read is What To Expect on the First Year.

8. On average how many books do you read per year? Hmm, just about 3-5 probably. I'm not a bookworm really.

10. Recommend a good book. The most striking Nicholas Sparks book for me is The Rescue.

Significant Other's Tag.

I was tagged by Litzie.

1. His Name: Paul…Paul Benedict (sounds so Papal, isn’t it? As In Pope John PAUL and Pope BENEDICT). He refused to be called Benedict, though. He goes with a monicker, Pondong (given by her “bulol” ate when they were still kids). My term of endearment to him: Bi (short for, baby). I also used to call him labs, bibshki, bibshi, bibay, bibshkidoodle, bishay, Fondie, Pondongongoks. I am such a sweet person, am I not?

2. How we met? We were high school classmates. We had an M.U. (mutual crush) thing way back freshman year but didn’t lead to anything serious because 1) we were so young then 2) he was so torpe. We got in touch again when we were in college. We stayed together from then on. You can read more about the story of us here.

3. Characteristics of Paul?
I think it could be summed up with a digiscrap layout I did for his 26th birthday last May. I love everything about my husband..here’s the list:

Memory Check.

Time to check our memory caps. Got this from Litzie, by the way.

1. They say elephants never forget. Would you compare your memory to that of an elephant or gnat?
Just like Litzie, I can compare mine with a gnat, too. Especially with these pregnancy hormones (preggy women tend to be forgetful), I’m at lost recently. Just yesterday, I was looking for my comb from my hubby and it was the maid who reminded me that I hid it already in my bag. I even asserted that it was just my cellphone that I hid, and true enough, when hubby opened my bag, we found the comb there. Lolz!

2. What kinds of things do you find it easy to remember?
Birthdays and other special occasion dates.

3. What kinds of things do you find it difficult to remember?
Nothing in particular. Just random things.

4. How does your short-term memory compare to your long-term memory?
I find it weird but I think my long term memory is better some times.

5. How do you commit things to memory? Do you use tricks, songs, images, word associations, or other little mnemonics?
When I was still studying, I often memorize my lessons using mnemonics.

I'm only 24% Vain.

In answer to MommyBa’s tag, here’s the result of the vanity quiz that I took. AND I’m not totally surprised with the results. Admittedly, I don’t have that much “kikay-ness” in my bones or should I say I’m not that meticulous when it comes to beauty and kikay stuffs. There are other pleasures that I’d rather insist on rather than splurging on these vanities and kikay stuffs.

Okay, so you're slightly vain from time to time, but you're not superficial at all. You are realistic. You know that looks matter. You just try to make them matter less.

How Vain Are You?

Random Beauty/Vanity/Fashion facts about me:
1. I do wear makeup but you can barely see it (very light). My makeup kit consists of unbranded powder/foundation, lipstick, eye shadow and cheek stain blush.
2. I occasionally shop for clothes. I just wait for pasalubongs brought by my stepmom from ukay-ukays in Saudi (usually Mango shirts that are on sale). When I go out, I’m most comfortable when I’m in a pair of jeans and a comfy top (shirt/blouse). I’m not fond of spaghetti straps, tubes, micro mini skirts, etc)
3. I just wash up my face with a local Facial Wash and a papaya soap (lolz). Other than that, nada! I’m so tamad na kasi to do those things and other beauty rituals at night haha!
4. I had my hair rebonded last year and just maintaining it with shampoo and conditioner. I know I should have treatment once in a while but my busy sched just doesn’t allow me to.
5. I wear perfume but I’m contented and I just depend on Dad’s perfume pasalubongs from Saudi. The one’s I’m using now is Ralph Lauren for Women.
