Adult and Singles Getaway

The first time I heard the term "Hedonism", I wasn't comfortable hearing and thinking about it because it sounded so controversial and adult like. But when I heard the term "Hedonism Resort" through Hedonism Resorts, I right away browsed the website and that's where I learned about the implication of hedonism. While it refers to adult resorts and adult vacations, this specific term means "the doctrine that pleasure or happiness is the highest good". It is synonymous to sensuality and libertinism.

If you want to experience pure bliss and the true meaning of hedonism, Jamaica is the perfect spot to head to. Various singles vacation packages are available at Hedonism Resorts. This collection of superior resorts are operated by Super-Inclusive® resorts and the parent company SuperClubs. They've got the best playful paradise beach resorts in Jamaica and they are well known for Breezes Resorts & Spas and the mentioned Hedonism Resorts.

2010 Travel Plan

As the year comes to an end and we're about to welcome a new year, it's never too early to start planning and writing down our goals/plans for 2010. I could say that our year will be mainly focused building and "beautifying" our little mansion. By the way, just heard another positive news about it last night *wink wink*.

Hubby's offshore work assignment next year is still obscure so we'll focus on among other things like domestic travel plans. I want my son to visit his great grandma in our hometown in Isabela where I know he'll appreciate the green fields, the farm scenery complete with animals and even farm automobiles and cattle supplies, the nearby irrigation to which I'm sure he'll drag us because he'd want to swim. Just by thinking about this trip makes me giddily excited. It's been a while since I visited the grannies so this homecoming will be great.

Family Vacation at Azul Sensatori.

Just three months to go and it's my most awaited month of the year again. Christmas is definitely the most wonderful time for me because it means non-stop merriment, exchange gifts, parties, food feasts and of course, it means grand vacation time. As early as now, the husband has filed his vacation leave for December and I have started as well browsing sites offering Family Vacations and other good travel deals.

I have come up with a number of good options and should we be able to save much (or win the lotto jackpot tonight), I would right away book a getaway to the most divine and alluring Azul Sensatori Hotel in Riviera Maya. It is one of the family-friendly resorts of Karisma Hotels that cater the needs of parents to make sure that their kids (and babies) have fun and take a take a vacation in style, too. One, they have spacious and cozy family-oriented suites. For toddlers and babies, they have Baby Equipment and Toy Loan Services through which they provide a monitor, stroller, bottle warmer, baby bathtub, Gourmet Gerber baby food, Fisher-Price® toys and much more delivered to the suites upon request. For ages 6 months to 12 yrs old, they have this so-called Azulitos Kid’s Club where they can hang out and play at the My Gym, splash water park and playground. For teens, they have the Breeze Teen Club where ages 13 to 17 hangout and play interactive games like Wii, CD mixing classes, beach volleyball tournaments and tennis clinics. With all these kid-friendly amenities, it not surprising if the kids will request for vacation extension because this truly is a vacation haven.

He Deserves a Break.

The husband has been working overtime for most of the days these past few weeks. He's home regularly by 9 PM this week much to his dismay because often, Asher is already asleep. Asher's regular sleeping time is usually 8 PM so when I find him so alert and up still by past 8, I try not settle him down yet so his Daddy can still see and play with him. Hubby says that instantly, the stress vanishes instantly upon seeing Asher. He's been so swamped with work lately and this makes me want to treat and sneak a little time off from his work so we can go to an out of town or even out of the country family vacation. Since we didn't have enough swimming getaways last summer, how does a week long stay at Azul Beach Hotel sounds? Azul Beach is one of the Karisma Group of Hotel’s five signature resorts and I heard great raves about it. Soothing treatments that pampers the body while lying on the white pristine sand of Riviera Maya, invigorating activities like deep-sea fishing, cenote diving or meditation classes, fabulous gourmet restaurants - that's my idea of a great getaway for the hardworking husband!

Dreaming of a Beach Vacation.

Have you seen my facebook wall message? Well, it says "Mai can't wait and is excited for Asher's party on Sunday. Weee! Happy Birthday asherito!!!" We're done with the preparations except for the last minute details but nevertheless, we're all set! And basically with an almost one-man team planner, I'm just glad that I was able to accomplish most of the details all by myself so after this grand celebration, I'm really looking forward to a nice relaxation. Perhaps, it won't be too much if I ask from the husband for some beach getaway this April. How about a mexico vacation? That's marvelous, isn't it? It would also be a nice treat if ever since my birthday is just two weeks away.

I'd really love to laze around and lounge on the cozy rooms of any of the Karisma Hotels. Situated on the secluded white-sand beaches of the Mexican Riviera Maya these hotels are just divine. After all, the word "karisma" is Greek of origin, meaning “divine favor.” Looking at the options, Azul Beach Hotel Resort is my choice. Simply because it has just been redesigned, and is the first boutique all-inclusive resort. Not only us, but Asher will also be pampered because of extra amenities like strollers, cribs, baby milk heaters, beach games, coloring books, refrigerators for milk and medicines, and even kid-sized bathrobes. Now that truly is divine!

Where Would Your Dream Guy Take You on Your Honeymoon?

You Should Honeymoon in Europe!

You are a traditional romantic at heart...

With a taste for fine wine, museums and beautiful walks.

You and your sweetie should get romantic in a cafe in Paris

Or get a Eurail pass - and see as many cities as possible!

Suggested destinations: Paris, Venice, London, Greece

Oh...of course I'd love to go to Europe with the husband. It's what they call the most romantic place on Earth. If only it doesn't cost a fortune to get there, we've long been there. Perhaps celebrate each and every anniversary or even our monthsaries there. Geez..that would be lovely.

December is Almost Here!

Today's the last day of November and as always, I'm mesmerized how time surely flies so fast. The year end is fastly approaching and I feel like there is still much of my plans that I haven't accomplished yet. And with December being a busy month, all the more that I'm near panicking. The holiday shopping is almost done though since we started it early this month. Then I also need to prepare for the weddings I'll be attending on December and on January..which reminds me I am yet to buy a formal footwear to go along with my gown for my sister's wedding. I am inclined to buy similar to this Manolo Blahnik Marith style in my fave shoe shop. Looks good, eh?

Then of course I also need to prepare for the two out of town getaways the whole family will be having before and after Christmas. Arrggh, December will surely be one busy but fun and exciting month..can't wait.

Excited for Baguio.

It's November already and just a few more weeks then here comes December. Aside from the holidays, what I'm most excited about our December this year is the family's getaway to Baguio on the week before the Christmas. It's been a while since I've been in the city of pines and since it's also Asher's first time to visit the city, all the more that I'm excited. We'll definitely go to some of the famous scenic spots like Mines View Park, do boating at Burnham Park and ride the horses' english saddles at the Wright Park. And this reminds me that I am yet to buy sweaters and long sleeved shirts for Asher because it can get very cold in Baguio during December.

Missing Baguio.

The whole family is all set and excited for the traditional 4-day Baguio Christmas getaway on the 26th – everybody except me and hubby who’ll be left behind: 1. Long and tiring trips are definitely a no-no for me 2.) I have work on the 26th until the 28th (bummer!). So there, we’ll miss a Baguio adventure this year. We’ll miss the fun and bonding with the whole family. We’ll miss the cool breeze of the city. Anyway, we’ll just devour on their pasalubongs when they get back…strawberries, peanut brittle, lengua de gato, etc. as we watch their videos and pictures riding a boat at the Burnham Park or enjoying a horse ride at the Wright Park.

***Speaking of horses, if you are into horses or is engaged with any horse back riding sport, check out the wide selection of equestrian riding apparel at theequestriancorner.com. They offer the best and comfortable riding boots, riding breeches, riding helmets, show clothes, horse blankets, saddles and much more at “comfortable” prices!

To All Moms Out There...

Hope you enjoy this special day as you are honored and gratified for all the sacrifices and hard work you do for the family.

To my Mom, my stepmom and to my mom-in-law..thank you for the motherly love you've been giving me.

**********************

I’ll just keep this short and I have to post this right away before the intermittent wi-fi connection in this hotel totally pisses me off. We’re in Subic right now with my in-laws and the whole family celebrating Mom’s Day, Paul’s and MIL’s birthday on the 14th and 16th respectively. We’re heading back to Manila in a few hours. :sigh: Kwento and stories to follow.

See yah later or probably tomorrow since we’ll be having a surprise gimik tonight for my dear hubby. Ssshhhh. *wink wink*

Wanna Swim.

We’re supposed to go swimming yesterday as per Paul’s request. He was so inching to have a dip in the pool because of the scorching heat and for the reason that he hasn’t swam yet this summer. Then my college best buds messaged me last Friday if we can join their Tagaytay weekend gimik. Until late evening of Friday, we couldn’t decide. I clocked out late in the office, ate our KFC dinner late and we endured about an hour-long drive from makati to qc. We were dead tired and exhausted upon reaching home. Obviously, since no definite plans were made, hubby and I woke up late yesterday and found ourselves bored the whole day. It’s a good thing that somehow we have this computer shop to man and got ourselves a bit busy with. And of course, I have this blog to work on for some dollar opportunities. It was not bad, after all.

Anyway, since I would also love to go wading, I will just repost this photo montage I made before. Here are the pics of some of our swimming getaways in Boracay and Laiya, San Juan, Batangas.

Take Me To This Place Please...

Cancun consists of medium-sized coastal city and a long, thin island to the mainland of easternmost state of Mexico through bridges at its north and south ends. It boasts of world-class hotels, resorts, clubs and malls. The turquoise waters of Caribbean Sea surround the gorgeous white sand beaches of Cancun. Best way to explore the beautiful Carribean Sea is through various water activities such as scuba diving, jet skiing, parasailing, diving, snorkeling, boating, fishing, wildlife watching through the Interactive Aquarium and submarine tours. Cancun nightlife spells outrageous fun and entertainment as well. Several lively and colorful discos dominate the party mood at night. There is so much variety as well when taste buds must be pleased. From gourmet cuisines to authentic dishes, Cancun surely makes a memorable dining experience. As they say, Cancun offers something for everyone, from an all-day fun party beach to an isolated, serene island.

Perfect Sailing Vacation.

My idea of a perfect summer getaway with hubby is to enjoy a unique sailing tropical vacation: a week long cruise aboard a catamaran vessel sailing the waters of US Virgin Islands, romantic sunset and dinner cruises, enjoying a cool swim, scuba diving, snorkeling to see the dazzling underwater world, eat up good and sumptuous food, fishing, kayaking, sitting and tanning on white pristine secluded beach and just lounging around together enjoying the cool sea breeze.

All of these can be enjoyed by taking a st thomas sailing charter cruise courtesy of Scubadu, a premier catamaran sailing company specializing in private sailing getaways in the US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands. Aside from the wide array of activities lined up for your trip, the package inclusions are: a licensed captain, chef/1st mate, gourmet lunch especially prepared by chef Joe, sunset and dinner cruises, an open bar for beer, wine, softdrinks and cocktails, snorkel and kayak gears, swim mats, towels and fresh water showers. The vessel has a large shaded cockpit space for lounging and dining, nice interiors with wood finish and leather upholstery and two full bathrooms with showers. Payments can be made in cash, travelers checks, visa and mastercard.

There’s really a lot to look forward to with this one of a kind experience. We’ll definitely save up for this extraordinary vacation and hopefully, we get to spend our second honeymoon with this perfect getaway.

2nd Summer Hirit.

It’s not even the peak of summer and yet, I already had two swimming gimiks last March. One was our teambuilding and summer outing with my colleagues last 22nd at Tanza, Cavite and the other with my college barkada just last Saturday.

It’s been a while since we last saw each other as everyone is busy with work and this getaway was just in time for us to catch up. We drove to 8 Waves Waterpark in San Rafael, Bulacan and arrived at about 9 am. We waded in the pool until lunch time, ate at Pancake House where I feasted on a Smoked Tinapa meal for lunch, then continued swimming and pool-hopping (there are 8 pools all in all including its infamous Wave Pool) until 6 pm.

I know you’d rather see the pics of our bonding moments so here they are:

Mount Sea.

As promised, here are the pictures of our summer outing and teambuilding activity last March 22-23, 2007 at Mount Sea Resorts in Tanza, Cavite.  Looking at the pictures alone, you'll already know how fun it was with all the activities that we did: formal business discussion, games such as obstacle course & group sack race, basketball, trampoline, all-night videoke galore, non-stop chit chats, swimming, camwhoring and of course, eating! Actually, those are the 2 weaknesses of our group...food and camera. :)

Refreshed.

I'm back from our 2-day Teambuilding and Summer Outing Activities with a tired body and sored muscles but definitely with a refreshed mood. Who wouldn't love to take a break from the daily routines of work, have some bonding time with colleagues, and best of all, travel out-of-town for free.

Here are some snapshots taken at Mount Sea Resorts in Tanza, Cavite.

Overlooking the giant safari-themed pool and the beachfront.

Enjoying the trampoline with colleagues.

Welcoming the first wave of summer heat.

Camwhoring with my best buds.

Tempting.

After having been to Boracay twice within the last 15 months, Paul and I were thinking this time of flying to Hong Kong at the end of this year and this promo of Cebu Pacific might be an option. But then, mom-in-law’s also inviting us for a Boracay getaway on October. Hmm..Bora again or HK? We have to decide by March 8 or else, we have to wait for the Travel Expo some time this year to avail cheap travel packages.
